A HOME CALLED "GRAND CHAMP"


Our B and B traditional manor home, carried over through our family since the 16 hundreds, features the freestone walls and the slate tile roof which are so typical of the local “ Limousin” traditional architectural style.

In winter months, when temperature declines, you will certainly appreciate a good fire as you’ll be sitting by the stone fireplace. With the return of friendlier seasons, you will be able to enjoy an outdoor courtyard enhanced by a terraced garden, offering a unique view over Treignac historical center.

Marielle et François salon We are at your disposal for all your needs during your stay, and, if needed, we will have the pleasure to direct you in your selection of destinations within the Correze and Limousin surrounding rural regions.

Breakfast may be served either in the dining room, or by the kitchen fireplace or in the outdoor courtyard, weather permitting. Our country breakfasts feature: fresh fruit salad, Tourtous(local pancakes made from buckwheat flour), salted or sweet, cheese, pastries or bakery breakfast products such as fresh French bread, croissants or chocolate croissants.

Upon reservation, your lady host, Marielle, an experienced gourmet cook, will serve you a local "table d'hote" meal made with regional dishes from the Correze region. She willl improvise this dinner according to seasonal market products avaibilities. We garantee you a memorable and friendly experience while sampling the great French regional cuisine.

Being hosted by Marielle and Francois in their private personalized B&B will allow you to relax in this historical manor home located in the heart of a pretty village neighboring an impressive Regional Natural Park.

Would you be interested in knowing more about your overnight home and your hosts, Marielle will tell you the insider's story of this 17th century manor home which has been in her family from the start.

A native from Correze, she escorted various trips to France and other countries as a tour guide and travel planner for photographers, painters, musicians, gourmets, and art lovers. Bilingual (English/French).
As a gourmet cook and a tour specialist, she will be glad to direct you into choosing the right day excursions within her beloved Correze region or more extensively, through neighboring Dordogne, Lot and Limousin regions.

You may also share some of her favorite recipes while enjoying your stay.

 

FRANÇOIS Marielle’s husband, who used to work as a regional forestry and land environmental engineer, loves the outdoors and will be ready to share his passion for fishing with you, which ranges from fly-fishing to casting. He will help you to discover the secret life of the neighboring forests and lakes, either while hiking through the land or by exchanging thoughts over a gourmet dinner cooked by Marielle.

Both Marielle and Francois, your hosts, love history and will be glad to share this special interest with you as well as their passion for their beloved region.
